Special Events
The Club’s activity calendar is filled with a variety of special events that cater to our members' interests. These events include numerous opportunities for members to come together and have fun, engage in fundraising activities for our garden projects, and practice in workshops, as well as many other exciting gatherings.
Garden Tours
Members enjoy touring private and public gardens and unique nurseries. All it takes is someone to volunteer to arrange a tour!
Plant Sales
One of the Club’s main fundraising events each year is a Plant and Garage sale. It is held in the early spring so that community members can get an early start on planting. Over the Fall and winter, members propagate and pot up plants from their gardens and start plants from seeds. On sale day members share their knowledge of plants with prospective buyers. The sale also offers gently-used household items.
Tomato Tasting
One of the Club’s most popular activities is the annual tomato tasting and potluck event. Members bring favorite tomatoes for tasting. They also bring a dish made with tomatoes, anything from appetizers to desserts. Members vote for their favorite dishes and prizes are awarded.
