January 25, 2017 - Ouroboros Aquaponics Farms Day Tour

Tanks where fish (currently koi and catfish) are raised. The water is filtered and balanced (if needed), and then used to grow greens, herbs, tomatoes, garlic, and other vegetables.   Learning about water flow to hydroponic growing beds.   Lettuce on styrofoam rafts is ready to be harvested.   Greens, started as seedlings at the far end of the greenhouse, and plants ready to be harvested in the foreground.   Seedlings start in tiny plugs, then get put into holes on styrofoam rafts.   Garlic growing in a wicking bed.   A worm bed, where plant waste gets recycled.   We had a great day at Ouroboros Aquaponics Farm!
