Eden Garden

Planting raised beds Planting raised beds Eden Garden has two main goals: At Eden Garden, volunteers grow organic fruits and vegetables for local food banks and other local residents who need food assistance. Donation sites include Tri-Valley Haven, South Hayward Parish, a group home in Dublin, and residents of Goodness Village.

The garden is located on the Crosswinds Church campus in Livermore, near the San Francisco Premium Outlet Mall. Crosswinds Church supports this project by providing the land, water, and electricity.

Participation

This service project is open to garden club members, members from Crosswinds Church, and community members. Corporations like Kaiser and high school students earning community service hours also volunteer at times.

Meeting times

From about early March to mid-November, this group typically meets weekly. Throughout the winter time pop-up work parties might be held. See the LAVGC newsletter for meeting dates each month. Volunteers decide how often they will come and for how long they will stay. The group appreciates all volunteer participation.
