President's Letter

Greetings LAVGC Members: First, I hope you and yours had a lovely holiday, no matter how you celebrate. I am looking forward to 2022 with the hope that we can get through this pandemic and get our lives back on track and hope that we can find a facility to hold our evening meetin gs . Our program teams, this year and last, have done an outstanding job in securing speakers and great programs. The publicity team and the Zoom team provided excellent support and deserve a great big thank you.

Shirley Eastman and a team of club volunteers planted the Livermore First Street pots for the first time in the last few years. Thank you.

This year's Pleasanton’s Make a Difference event on January 15 at the Senior Center has been cancelled.

We have not decided yet whether we are going to hold a plant sale at Amador or in one of our homes, but you should be preparing your p lants and ga rden items for a sale some time in April or early May.

As mentioned at our meeting on December 9, there are new youth contests for your children, grandchildren and/or your neighbors’ children. Look for the announcement at our website or the California Garden Clubs and the Pacific Region Garden Clubs.

Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy new year. Jeri Stark, President.
