President's Letter

Greetings LAVGC Members

Karen Abbruscato, our VP of meetings, is providing the letter from the president while Jeri is in Oregon for a family emergency.

May is always a favorite month of mine, with everything in my yard showing off their beautiful blooms. That made May 1st the perfect time to have the garden share event; although I was out of town I heard it was a huge success. Thank you to Michelle Tallon for organizing it and to Nancy Harrington, Judy Matthew, Anne Vincent, Bruce Daggy, and Michelle Suski for opening their gardens and hosting our members.

Now we look forward to June and it’s unpredictable weather.  Will it be June gloom or will summer announce itself early?  Either way, you can bet that most of us will still be tending our gardens throughout the month.  And if you don’t have a garden to tend, please join us in the Hansen Rose Garden, Eden Garden, Sensory Garden or Claire’s Fare.  They can all use your help.

Again, stay healthy and safe. Karen for Jeri Stark, President
