President's Letter

The Plant Sale will be over by the time of our regular meeting so I hope you have your plants dropped off and you know where you're volunteering at the sale. This is always a fun, but hectic, day and many thanks to all those who have taken on responsibilities at the sale, especially to Karen Abbruscato for coordinating it all.

The Nominating Committee (Kim Billingsley, Sandy Yamaoda, and Inge Spotnitz) has been very hard at work developing a slate of the Executive Committee officers for next year. We will present the results at the April meeting and then be voting on it in May. It's not too early to be thinking how you want to be involved in the garden club next year. As we always say, many hands make light work.

Our Arbor Day presentations about the value of trees in our lives was given to more than 800 students in the Pleasanton second grades. And 9 new Penny Pines Plantations will be planted in the name of the schools that participated.
