Co-President's Letter

Time flies when you are having fun! We have done so much this year- got inspired by great speakers, learned from all the helpful hints passed on in our workshops, gathered with garden friends in bounteous potlucks, lunches and our very successful plant sale, and made our area a better place through all our hard work and careful attention. I will be passing the torch to my co president Karen Abbruscato who will be joined by Tom Jefferson. I have enjoyed being your president for the past two years and witnessing firsthand how well everyone shares in the work which makes our club so great. Thank you to everyone for all you do-big and small. We just couldn't offer so much without all your efforts. And special thanks for the four homeowners who worked so hard to offer their beautiful gardens for our Member Garden Tour on May 19th.

Our final meeting before our two month break will be on Thursday, June 13th. We will begin early to have time to enjoy our finger food potluck at 6:30 pm. The business meeting will begin at 7:10 followed by our speaker Charles Crohare. If you haven't yet renewed your membership for next year, you can do so at the meeting. Renewing early helps those who work on the new yearbook so bring a check or cash to take care of it.

As we wind down all the activity for the year, I hope you will have time now to take care of your own garden and watch our edibles and new plant sale acquisitions take hold in our landscapes. May you all have bumper crops this season!

Cheers! Tina Higashi, Co-president
